Labour Day - a Holiday here

The students Barry works with invited us to Brunch today at the apartment of an Italian post doc.  What a spread!  The Italian host had just returned from Turino and had brought back cheese, salami and Nutella amongst other things.  There was a huge spread for starters with my favourite being cheese with either a marmalade or pepper jam to go on top.  Then he made a huge batch of spaghetti with the sauce being egg, a very salty ricotto type cheese and tiny pork pieces from the neck of the pig.  Delicious!!  The cheese and pork brought specially back from Turino.  This was followed by dessert but really there was no room for dessert.

We cancelled dinner at a restaurant in the country and opted for a walk instead when we got back home.
