Week One

We have now been in Marburg a week.  Its so different living in a place as opposed to visiting it.  Life slows down considerably with no internet in one's apartment and one channel (BBC) in English.
Today's mission was to get Barry a cycle helmet and get another lock for the 2 bikes we purchased yesterday.  I decided to try the shopping area at Wehrda - just out of the main city, but the bus I caught took me way out to the far side of Wehrda.  However, the return bus went via the shopping centre so I was able to get off and visit the big sport shop there.

I have discovered I can get WIFI in our apartment if I sit on the edge of our bed and put my computer on the heater just under the window.  A bit hard on my back but a bit friendlier than the stark common room upstairs.
